| This Georgian style designed by architect Thomas M. James, who designed the Shubert Theatre in Boston, built in 1911 as the private estate of P.J. Harney, a local shoe manufacturer in Lynn. The house retains many of the original fixtures as claw foot tubs, pedestal sinks, cabinets, light fixtures and hardwood floors throughout the house. Seen on NBC's Treasure Hunters. |

FROM BOSTON/Logan Airport: Take Rte. 1A 7.3 miles over Gen. Edwards Bridge to Lynn. Continue straight on Lynnway/Rte. 1A through 7 traffic lights to Swampscott/Marblehead sign. (DO NOT go to the center of Lynn.) At the sign, and U-haul, bear right toward ocean and rotory along ocean. Drive 9/10ths of a mile through one stop light to the blinking pedestrian light along ocean. Turn left on Prescott Road and right on Ocean St. to the Inn. Look for the green canopy. |
